Life should be lived with laughter and jokes —That’s what they say
But no one ever tells you what they mean: when you're smiling from ear to ear with your friends, hanging out late into the night, sitting under the moonlight singing songs with your guitar?
Is that what it means to enjoy life?
And there's absolutely no one to tell you that.
Then are those who say that really enjoying their lives?
And now I'm in that phase, the phase of enjoying life in the style of modern teenagers.
Get out of bed, open your phone, check your friends' Instagram stories, sit at the dining table while eating breakfast, watch movies all day, hang out here and there.
Perfect life! I thought so at first, but then I realized when I saw some of my friends who looked like they were not enjoying their lives.
Every now and then I call some friends who used to be close in junior high school to hang out together. Although again I had to accept rejection.
"I have tutoring at 2pm”
"I can't, I have piano lessons"
"I don't have time, I have to do a seminar"
How busy are they that they don't have time to relax or just hang out with old friends?
I even thought that they were too rigid and not fun. This is adolescence, shouldn't it be enjoyed?
Every now and then I looked outside, and it was quiet.
Where did the people go while I was sitting watching the news on television?
Then I realized, that people my age were creating their future by continuing their education, or seeking other experiences out there.
"Life should be lived with laughter and jokes, but that doesn't mean you have to occupy your days with it. Get out of the house, find new friends and experiences"
Isn't it a pity if adolescence is only spent with something that is not useful?
Now let's get up, get out of your comfort zone, look for new experiences, and find your true self.
Make your teenage years useful and worth telling to your children.
It's not funny if you tell your children like this,
"Papa's teenage years were spent hanging out and drinking, and then we were surrounded by the police."
Or like this,
"Mother's teenage years were spent playing until late at night, and then your grandmother scolded me severely."
So let's rise up with me, and make this beautiful adolescence bright for their future survival!
